Meet ours: Freddie and Fannie

Kiel Mortgage is a strong advocate for their clients and for improving the lives of members of their surrounding community through charitable work and donations to various organizations. This advocacy doesn’t stop there but extends beyond the work day and even lends it hand to wildlife and animal rescue efforts that sticks to the philosophy that doing the right thing, ‘even when no one is watching’ is what builds a business ‘with heart.’

‘Doing the right thing,’ is the foundation that Kiel Mortgage was built upon so when two kittens, less than a week old and in dire need of assistance, were found in recycling boxes, team members stepped forward with faith that by combining individual efforts a significant difference could be made. Many staff members contributed to the bottle feedings and around the clock care that these kittens needed to survive.

Not only did these kittens survive but they thrived and are now strong, socialized and Kiel Mortgage’s official office mascots! Other opportunities that presented themselves to assist with rescues included: bunny rabbits, homing pigeons, and an injured hawk that now resides at Northwest Trek.
